Belgium 2009 - Day 02/05/2009 "Trial Day"

Finally the Trial Day arrived!
Doorn's track was in a terrain with real long grass (we belive it should be more than 50cm high), and for that it was impossible for the dogs to track with their heads close to the ground... :-((
Doorn made a great track where he only lost 1 point for lifting his head high 1 time...
So he ended with 99 points! :-))
A good start of course!

Perle's Sph track was another story.....
It was in a land terrain covered with manure... :-((
The smell was simply horrible.....
Perle had some difficulties in a terrain where the judge said he believed no dog could ever follow a track... Well, Perle did, and after almost 40 minutes tracking she finished!
The judge gave her 90 points! :-))

It was time to head back to the K9 Lendelede terrain and to have lunch!
A very nice and light meal! :-))

Then the Obedience and Defense trials would take place!
Doorn did very good in the Obedience trial, and only lost points in the "sit" (a bit slow), on the "stand" (after an amazing stop Doorn moved himself), on the apport over the jump (Doorn touched the jump a bit on the way to the apport) and on the "voraus" (Doorn only layed down on the 2nd command).
The judge gave him 95 points!

Again in the Defense trial Doorn did better than he ever did on the trainings!
Just too bad he decided not to do all the blinds and went from the first one to the 4th.... ;-))
The judge gave him 91 points!
So with a total of 285 Doorn not only passed his GHP 2, but he ended as the Trial Winner! :-))

We would like to thank once again to friend Jan Galant and Caroline, for all the help and support; Eugene & Ira for again receiving us so warmly in their home and for all the support; to Bassie for his work as a Helper and friendship; to the Judge Roger Vandereyken (BE) for his educational and fare judgements; to Giovanni & Ellen for the great pics; and to all those that were cheering for us!

We had a great time again in Belgium!!!

Here some of the pics from the trial Giovanni & Ellen took:

Belgium 2009 - Day 01/05/2009

1st of May was again training day... ;-))
As amazing as it may sound we actually were abble to track 3 times in the same terrain, as the farmer was working the land, and for that reason we could use it 3 times, with 3 diferent types of ground! :-)
Again here are the pics of the last day of trainings before the trial...
