Tango Bulgarian Junior Champion :-))

This weekend (24 & 25 January 2009) took place in Sofia (Bulgaria) 2 CACIB shows.
Tango participated and in both days he was Best Junior Male!
By winning the 2 JCAC's, Tango become Bulgarian Junior Champion (BG JCH)!!!!
Judge on Saturday was Maria Slavkovic (SRB), and on Sunday Ivan Dimitrov (BG).

Happy 7 years old birthday Perle!

Today Perle is 7 years old!!!! And she still looks young! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PERLITA!!!!

Saying goodbye to Tango… :-((

Well, last Friday was a terrible day for me… :-(((
Tango was going back to his breeder...
I get way too attached to my dogs, so it’s always a nightmare to see them go...
Somehow I managed not to cry when I delivered him in the airport, but blast into tears when I got to my moms house...
Then it was the long waiting to know if he arrived safe... Lot of nerves and tears in between...
Finally I got the message saying he arrived well, a bit stressed from the trip, but safe...
I didn’t sleep much that night, wondering if he was OK, and of course crying most of the night...
Tango was going on to 2 shows in the weekend, so it was really going to be hard on him...
Again he was able to show how special he is...
Saturday in the Llublijana Show he was Best Junior Male, then Best Junior of Breed and finally BOB!!!! 18 CC’s were competing. Judge was Juha Kares from Finland.
He even got selected among the 8 finalists in the Junior Final, in a very tough junior completion!
I could have never dreamed he would do so great on his first show out there, especially with such a short time to adjust!
Marika was very happy with the way he adjusted himself and with the way he behaved in the show ring! :-))
So although still very sad that he’s not here anymore, I was very pleased with his results, but above all to know he was happy and fitting in!
On the Tromostovje Show the nest day he was 3rd in class with Excellent. His grandfather Zorrazo Chin-Chin was BOB (on Saturday Chin-Chin made the CAC and added the Slovenian Champion title to his long title list!)! Judge was Stefan Sinko from Slovenia.
So we all miss Tango terrible here, and it’s being real hard not to have him around... :-((

Disappointment… :-((

So the Portuguese Tracking Cup passed...
Doorn did great in a very hard track and finished with 92 points which granted him the 1st place in Level 3! Winner on his first Tracking Cup!
But Perle let me down....
Hard thing for a dog to let me down, but Perle did....
Guess I was wrong when I said we could follow her with our eyes closed...
For some mysterious reason Perle didn’t do very well on the first line, staring at the judge 2 times (nobody got why she did this, as she's quite used to have people around her and on her side when she tracks in trainings...), didn’t catch the sent good and having a lot of problems right away.... She had many difficulties along all the track, didn’t signed 2 objects, but yet she finished...
Still I was disappointed....
The tracks were hard, but still... She could have done better.... She should have done better...
Anat had a very promising start but got lost after the first angle. Still it was very nice to see!

Portuguese Tracking Cup - Sunday 11st January

Next Sunday is the Portuguese Tracking Cup 2009…
We have 2 dogs of our own entered: Perle in the FH and her son Doorn in the Level 3.
Doorn’s sister “Anat” will also be competing in Level 1.
So an exiting day for sure…
I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for Perle.
She’s the best track dog I ever saw, and this is so true that you can follow her with your eyes closed.
I love the way she tracks and works! Just a million dollar view!
